Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for someone to lead and evolve our Risk, Assurance and Safety practices & mindsets – all designed to build business resilience.
This role requires an advanced understanding of Risk Frameworks (including Health and Safety) and someone who is comfortable working in a highly regulated and commercial industry, to ensure the safety of our people, products, and customers.
Lead a small specialist team, and influence People Leaders to enable the effective implementation of business resilience work programmes.
This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same. You will have an opportunity to work at a strategic level, as well as advising on operational matters. Your portfolio will encompass all things Risk, Assurance and Safety which includes ownership of our key Business Resilience Frameworks; Safety; Internal Audit; compliance with Civil Aviation Act regulatory obligations; overseeing our Incident Management Framework, Safety Management system and Business Continuity Plan.

We are looking for a People Leader who deeply cares about Risk, Assurance and Safety culture, who is experienced working with people, Leaders, Executives and the Board, to build a human centric risk based culture and capability.
Requirements
- Five or more years’ experience working in a senior role preferably in risk, compliance, business continuity or internal audit, ideally in a complex organisation
- Ability to lead and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both at a strategic as well as operational level (we are a small organisation and so there is an element of rolling your sleeves up).
- Experience in business transformation, change management and engagement across an organisation highly regarded
