Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The purpose of this role is to:

• provide outstanding commercial and technical account management to MetService clients in order to maintain & grow the client base, and
• to deliver sales opportunities that meet customer requirements whilst contributing to the MetService strategic and business plans for the marine sector.

Essential:

• Ability to quickly establish and maintain key business relationships
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
• Highly developed influencing and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
• Articulate, good presenter, numerate with excellent written skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally

Desirable:

• General meteorological knowledge
• Proven sales experience in specialist products delivering advanced technology solutions to end users
• Degree-qualified in Science and/or Business
• Knowledge of the marine industry
• Ability to think creatively and recommend outcomes beyond the accepted solutions and possibilities
